I'm not the first or the last person in the world to use a Holga, cell phone or bad lenses. Making images with low tech, low quality or unpredictable materials is freeing of the technical aspect of photography. I don't know if I'd ever use the images in my portfolio, but I will use them loosen up even more, to experiment and to have fun. It's nice to not take photography so seriously sometimes.

These were shot with my 5d, not a terrible camera at all, and a Yashica Electro 35 lens adaptor held in front of a regular 50mm.

Holga, on Loch Ness.
The cell phone video was shot with a LG Chocolate in Hong Kong and Brooklyn, edited with iMovie. The song is "Fake Empire" by the National.
